Ema helped me transform my house to a place I love and look forward to being in. I have an eclectic style that doesn't look like it should be in Architectural Digest, so I was intimidated to work with a designer. Ema met me where I am and learned my style and colors and helped create rooms that fit me and my family. They are beautiful, functional and so cozy and me. I love being in my house and I thank Ema for that!

Ema has worked her magic in almost every room of our house! We started with a living room redesign and just kept adding more projects over time. She taught me how to add texture and include small details that have elevated our space. When it was time for our recent reno, Ema was ready to help with the layout of furniture in rooms, selecting tile, picking perfect paint colors, bathroom fixtures and lighting. I could not have done it without her! She worked with our budget and was always supportive when I had lots of questions. We are so proud of our home. It really feels like us, but better than we could ever have accomplished on our own. We get so many compliments from friends and family. I always say the same thing, "Call Ema, she's amazing!"

My family has loved working with Ema. We started with our living area and loved all her recommendations from paint and furniture to paintings and rugs. She transformed a completely unliked space into cozy and comfortable area that we now constantly hang out in. My teenage son thinks our living area looks like out of a fancy magazine. Let me tell you it was so so reasonable. Ema can work with any budget and is so flexible. She truly listens which shows in her recommendations. We were so pleased that we worked with her again for our bedrooms. I think it's fair to say that she has made us love our home more and more with her design sensibilities.    I cannot recommend Ema Degnen strongly enough. Her talents are vast, her eye for detail is rare, and she cares deeply about creating the distinctive spaces that realize their vision. My home is an 1898 farmhouse Victorian. When finally, I was able to build a dream kitchen, I had ideas...but no clear path forward. My uncertainty became the biggest challenge, when it didn't have to be. I contacted Ema. She understood my vision immediately, walked me effortlessly through various options and considerations, and listened carefully as I shared my thinking. I thought I was answering her questions. In fact, she was letting me flesh out my dream.
Ema gave me my ideal kitchen. She gave me modern functionality with an old-world feel--French Country with unique pendant lighting, a built-in banquette, and paint and cabinetry that invited in the sunlight and multiplied it. Instead of a traditional tile backsplash behind the La Cornue stove, she suggested a gilded tin tile to subtly echo the white painted tin ceiling and play off the warmth of the brass fixtures. Not only did details like this one tie together the design they ensured my kitchen was a one-of-a-kind creation. When my family decided to add an extension to the back of our home, I called one person before I even hired a builder. You already know her
name!
